Angler Surveys |
Posted on 07/11/2008 |
Angler surveys are conducted by NOAA Fisheries and state agencies in an effort to make sound fisheries conservation policy. They use the information collected to set limits on the number of fish that can be taken recreationally and commercially without negatively affecting the long term health of individual fisheries.
The proposed National Saltwater Angler Registry will impact the way these surveys are conducted.
To learn more about how the surveys are currently conducted, see NOAA's article How Angler Surveys Work. |
