Debate Over Hatteras Heats Up
Posted on 07/26/2008
On the Outer Banks, debate continues over legislative steps taken to restrict beach access including activities like fishing, surfing and off road driving (ORV) on portions of Hatteras, Ocracoke, Oregon Inlet, Cape Point and others. Also under debate is the question of who should be managing the Cape Hatteras National Seashore. The issue has found its way to Congress and you may wish to express your opinion on the matter to your representatives in Congress and the Senate. For information on the debate, visit "Save Hatteras & Ocracoke Island." This site offers information on how to contact your representatives.
